Glenlossie 18 Year Old 1997 vintage Speyside single malt Scotch whisky. Matured in hogshead casks #827 #828, bottled February 2016 by Signatory Vintage for the Un-Chillfiltered Collection.
Glenlossie Distillery was established to the west of Fogwatt in Scotland’s Speyside whisky region by John Duff in 1867. A private rail line opened in 1896 to connect Glenlossie with two neighbouring distilleries which enabled efficient movement of good between distilleries and gave Glenlossie Distillery access to the Morayshire Railway and hence speedy connections with the wider world. Glenlossie’s six stills produce a light malt whisky which is used primarily in the production of Diagio’s blends of scotch whisky.
